There is another way to prevent Calcium deficiency in Tomato plants. My granddad used to keep all the egg shells (year round) and make his own egg (calcium) powder to sprinkle around the tomato plants. I do the same thing and have never had problems.<br /><br />1. Rinse the egg shells out.<br />2. Let them dry completely.<br />3. Place in a plastic Ziploc baggie.<br />4. Using a rolling pin, crush the egg shells into a fine powder.<br />5.
